I am a Canadian citizen, an Amherstburg taxpayer, a resident of Amherstburg for 73 years, the proud Vice Chair of the Amherstburg Taxpayers Association, a mother, a grandmother, and last but not least, Nancy Atkinson. We are a group of residents concerned about our taxes, and how they are managed and spent. We are Canadian citizens and taxpayers. Constitution of the Amherstburg Taxpayers Association

The members of the Amherstburg Taxpayers Association met on September 26, 2019 to approve the General By-law or "Constitution" of the A.T.A. Below is the full text of the Constitution. AMHERSTBURG TAXPAYERS ASSOCIATION INC. “A.T.A.” GENERAL BY-LAW OR “CONSTITUTION” DEFINITIONS 1)     In this by-law the following definitions apply: a)   “Act” means the Ontario Corporation Act from time to time in force and all amendments to it. b)   “Board” means the Board of Directors of the A.T.A. c)   “Directors” mean the Directors of the A.T.A. as defined in this By-Law. d)   “Member” means a Member of the A.T.A. as defined in this By-Law. e)   “Association” means the Amherstburg Taxpayers Association. The Official Blog of the Amherstburg Taxpayers Association

Welcome to the official blog of the Amherstburg Taxpayers Association. Recently, some members have begun a dialogue on social media voicing their concerns about transparency and their participation in discussions related to the ATA in an official capacity. Having been formed approximately 10 days ago at the time of this post, we as the Directors of the ATA are absolutely delighted with the outpouring of support and suggestions for this nascent association.
